When choosing your blog niche, it’s smart to hone in on one topic or category.
Nevertheless, many of us have varied interests.
We want a blog that speaks to all our passions, goals, and objectives – not just a few.
For people that want a real personal blog that highlights the gamut of their personal interests, I recommend the following strategy:
The Blog Niche Of “You”.
The blog niche of you says that you can write about any topic in the world, as long as It’s interesting to you.
It’s a little more general than most specific blogs, but it works great for a few reasons.
- The internet loves getting personal
- You can write about all your passions
- You can conceivably earn more with referral earnings by promoting more offers
Get clear on what is a blog niche, here.
How Does The Blog Niche Of “You” Work, Exactly?

The way the blog niche of “you” works, is you get into yourself.
I’m talking personal development, Beaufort style.
You’ll want to take out a journal, or get Word online, and outline a few questions with passionate responses:
- What are my interests?
- How fun are my hobbies?
- What am I most passionate about?
- Are there blogs about these topics that I can emulate?
- How do those blogs monetize?
Question number 1 is interesting, because we all have interests, but we might not be doing anything about them right now.
Question number 2 is interesting, because you get clear about what you do and don’t like – even if you didn’t know it yet.
Number 3 is the gold, because whatever you love is going to be great fodder for your personal blog.
Number 4 is when you get on Google and do some research about these topics, to see what blogs exist about them already.
So if you love skateboarding, then you’d search for ”skateboarding blogs” and see what perks up.
Question number 5 is great because you can study existing blogs, and learn how they make money.
Tip: chances are that if you are on an existing blog, and they’re referring you to shop for a product, then they’ll earn a small commission on your purchase.
Getting a blog niche going with the blog niche of “you” is an excellent way of establishing blog differentiation, and forming a blog value proposition.
So Getting Clear About Myself Can Make Me Money?!

I’m no Dean Graziosi, but personal development is not usually a profitable journey.
Though I must say that most people dealing with personal development don’t have a blog.
I’m not saying you need to retreat to a cave to find yourself, but with personal blogging, you now have a way to get rich by writing about what makes you interested.
For me, I like reading, writing, travel, blogging, social media, hockey and all sports, and more.
You could definitely monetize a list like that by joining referral programs for hotels and ticket brokers such as Expedia, Travelocity, etc.
Plus, there are plenty of referral programs for social media, such as the affiliate program for Zoho Social or Sprout Social or Sendible.
You only need to find referral – affiliate – offers for what you’re interested in, and then you blog about your interests.
Then, you leave what marketing experts call a CTA in the bottom of your post, and that gets sales.
CTA stands for: Call To Action.
Like a button that says “Reserve Your Stay Here”.
Or a line of text that says “Get Travel Offers Now”.
Etc.
Do not forget to define your blog audience so that you know who you are writing to.
Are You Ready To Start A Blog Niche With The Niche Of “You?”

There are so many things to blog about, and your passions and interests are an excellent place to start.
When you want to start a blog, it’s inevitable that you’ll need to buy WordPress hosting.
Companies that we recommend include BlueHost for budget-conscious and WP Engine for more affluent consumers.
BlueHost costs $3 a month.
WP Engine costs $25 a month.
Many of you are in between and could go either way.
We here with Quick Blog Profit are using WP Engine for our WordPress hosting, and we couldn’t be happier.
Quick Blog Profit recommends WP Engine and BlueHost for the WordPress hosting for your blog.
