Now, you author a new article, that is remarkably like the topic of the broken link, and you place it on your blog.

When you find a resource page relevant to your topic, then you can reach out to the web owner of the website with the resource page and ask them to add your website as a resource.

There is an interesting service for journalists called Help A Reporter Out.
